Fabric guide
General care-tips
1. Only wash when necessary
Your garment will stay beautiful for longer if you wash it as little as possible. A washing machine can cause friction, which can accelerate wear and tear. Does your garment just need a little freshening up? Hang it outside, or in the bathroom while you take a shower. A great alternative to steaming!
If your garment really needs a wash, please refer to the washing instructions for each fabric on this page or check the care label.
2. Keep the temperature low
20°C is the new 30°C, and 40°C is the new 60°C :) Always check washing instructions when washing a product. However, keep in mind that the temperature on the care label indicates the maximum temperature. You can always go lower. It’s better for your garment, the environment, and your wallet to keep the temperature nice
and low.
3. Sort by colour
To keep your beautiful white dress bright white and your stunning red tunic vibrant, it’s important to separate clothes by colour. Of course, you’ll
separate your whites and blacks from your coloured laundry, but it’s also
important to separate your coloured items. Keep warm tones like red, orange, and pink together, and place cool tones like blue, green, and grey in a separate wash.
4. Airdry
Skip the tumble dryer! Let your clothes dry in the fresh air, or in the laundry room during winter. This is better for your clothes and for the environment.
5. Extra decorations or applications? Extra care needed
Does your garment have beads, buttons, embroidery, shoulder pads, or other luxe embellishments? Always wash and iron inside out and handle with extra care.
6. Your care label Is your best friend!
If you’re unsure how to best care for your garment, check the care label. It’s there for you to refer to whenever your garment needs a wash.
